In many organizations, library and information professionals are at the core of competitive intelligence function, and this organization brings together a diverse group to network and share knowledge. SLA is organized by geographic chapters as well as functional divisions. SLA publishes the monthly Information Outlook as well as the e-newsletter, SLA.COM-municate. The Pharmaceutical and Health Technology Division has been an SLA division since 1966. In 2004, the Competitive Intelligence Division was formed. This multi-disciplinary division is covers all areas of competitive intelligence and helps members develop their competitive intelligence skills.
